Want to know why the 2019 David Reid Homes Cycle Classic is going to be the best one yet? We have responded to feedback and incorporated some fantastic new ideas for this year as well as retained some of the existing great features. This is a taste of the new features – the women’s des Femmes will have increased prizemoney and a QOM classification, the Cattle Creek climb will be incorporated into the KOM/QOM classification for all categories, there will be great new award jerseys from our new sponsor JAKROO that will incorporate the significant features of the region, increased recognition for Division 2B and Division 3B place getters……

New Features of the 2019 G2I

  • The women’s des Femmes will have increased prizemoney and a QOM classification
  • The Cattle Creek climb will be incorporated into the KOM/QOM classification for all categories
  • There will be great new award jerseys from our new sponsor JAKROO that will incorporate the significant features of the region
  • Increased recognition for Division 2B and Division 3B place getters
  • Multi-cultural festival held in conjunction with the event finish
  • Separate start for the Challenge category riders with their own convoy (pending on entry numbers)
  • Photographers assigned to all Divisions
  • Live race coverage for supporters at the Mount Mitchell Feed Station
  • Live streaming of the event via National Road Series Facebook and via Kayo and FOX SPORTS

What Great Features will be back?

  • The ‘JAKROO Guardian Angels’ will return to support riders getting to the finish under the time-limit
  • All-inclusive categories that open the event up to all riders willing to take on the challenge of the event
  • Medallions for all finishers
  • Team classification across all the categories
  • Live radio coverage of all the categories on Sta FM
  • Mobile water available between the Gibraltar Range and the Mount Mitchell Feed Station
  • All the climbs that signify the event including the infamous Gibraltar Range
