The G2I welcomes the local Inverell community, event participants and their supporters to enjoy the  Sapphire Wind Farm Finish Line Festival post-race festivities.

Community Activities

Location – Victoria Park, Inverell.

Festival Opening – Welcome (12.00pm)

Multicultural Food Festival (12.10pm)

Enjoy a lunch of tasty cultural cuisine from the food stalls while awaiting the race finish.

Community Bike Activities (12.10pm – 4.00pm)

Families are encouraged to bring their bikes down to Victoria Park and participate in the fun bike skill activities and challenging obstacle course!

Event Celebration Dinner

Location: Inverell RSM

Time: 6.00pm – 10.00pm

The event celebration dinner will feature:

• food and drinks
• a recognition of the race winners
• guest speakers
• highlights footage of the event on the big screen
• an opportunity to share race experiences with other riders and supporters.

Grafton to Inverell Recovery Ride

All event and community cyclists are invited to join the Inverell Cycle Club for a ride around Inverell’s best cycling routes (approximately 40km). Enjoy a post-ride coffee and breakfast at one of the local cafes then head over to watch the excitement of the Lake Inverell Circuit Racing.

Ride Meeting Point: Front of the Inverell Motel

Time: 7.00am

Post-ride breakfast/coffee location: TBC

Lake Inverell Circuit Races

The NRS men and women will again showcase the excitement of circuit racing on Sunday morning at the Lake Inverell purpose built cycling facility. This year other competitive riders can enter the Open Circuit Race to be part of the action!

Sapphire Tour Women’s NRS Stage 2 – 8.00am (45km)
